All of these mapping tables are provided here only for historical
and archival purposes. Many are functionally obsolete. The UTC
will not be adding more data files in this directory. Because the
data files in this directory are mostly of historical interest, they
will not be further updated or corrected.

Implementers seeking current information about character conversion
tables should consult ICU, WHATWG, or other sources for current practice.

EASTASIA:
	This directory is obsolete.

ETSI:
	ETSI GSM 03.38 7-bit default alphabet mapping.

ISO8859:
	These are the mapping tables of the ISO 8859 series (1 - 16).

OBSOLETE:
	Obsolete and unsupported mapping tables for historical
	and archival purposes only.

VENDORS:
	Miscellaneous mapping tables for small codesets, typically provided
	by vendors. The majority of current, useful tables are here.
	However, there are no guarantees that any particular table in this
	directory directly matches actual practice in any given platform.
